ONE-OFF BARRY SHEENE REPLICA SUIT RAISES VALUABLE FUNDS FOR TWO WHEELS FOR LIFE AT THIS YEAR’S SILVERSTONE MOTOGP

This weekend saw the annual Two Wheels for Life auction take place at the British round of MotoGP, held at Silverstone. One of the key auction lots was a unique set of Dainese custom made Barry Sheene replica leathers.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Barry Sheene winning the first of his two 500cc World Championships in 1976, legendary Italian brand Dainese has made a one-off Barry Sheene replica leather suit.

This custom-made suit was created by the specialist Dainese ‘Custom Works’ team for Freddie Sheene, son of Barry, to wear when he rode his dad’s historic race bikes at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed in July this year. Where they were also signed by iconic racing stars Steve Parrish and Kenny Roberts, to add an extra historic twist.

To help raise much-needed funds at the annual Two Wheels for Life charity auction, Dainese generously donated this one-of-a-kind suit, and it formed the star lot of the event.

Life-long Sheene fan Clive Parkinson placed the winning bid and paid the fantastic sum of £3,000, with the whole auction raising in excess of £200,000.
